FMGE 2019: Application Form, Important Dates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern

FMGE June 2019

National Board of Examination will be conducting the Foreign Medical Qualification Exam for 2019 in the month of June. The Exam will be conducted on 28th of June, 2019. the application form for the same can be submitted from April 15, 2019, to May 6, 2019. The application form can be filled on the official website www.nbe.edu.in the candidates who wish to pursue a career with the Medical Council of India can apply for the exam in the given time period. The aspirants are required to go through FMGE June 2019. The NBE will issue admit cards to all for the exam. The result is likely to be released by July 31, 2019. The aforementioned exam is conducted two times in a year. The exam is conducted in June and December by NBE. The students must ensure that they qualify in the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.

The application for the exam can be filed on the official website www.nbe.edu.in an online form needs to be filled by the students if they fulfill the eligibility criteria.

fmge 2019 Application Fee

The application fee for the exam of Foreign Medical Qualification Exam is Rs. 5500/-. The online payment can be made through payment gateway provided on the site using a Credit/Debit Card/ Net banking.

NOTE: the students who do not appear for the examination will be refunded back their fee but those who stand ineligible or whose candidature stands canceled will not be refunded any fee.

Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria must be met by the students appearing for the FMGE 2019:

  • Indian nationality
  • Document proof of being qualified
  • Certificate of primary medical qualification from Indian embassy.
  • Documentary proof as evidence of passing the final examination of medical qualification on or before the exam date.

The candidates who hold an undergraduate medical degree from the countries like Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, USA, etc. or a Postgraduate degree from the same country along with being offered a post of the medical practitioner in the country are exempted from the exam.

The candidates who fill up the application form before the deadline and pay the required amount of money are provided with an admit card by the NBE. The aspirants are intimated for the availability of the admit cards by the concerned officials. The NBE officials upload the admit cards on the official website. The candidates are required to download their respective admit cards from the official website.

The students are required to paste a recent passport sized photograph on the admit card once they have printed their admit card. On the day of the exam, a candidate must carry a photocopy of permanent/ provisional SMC/ MCI registration, a printed copy of the Admit card and a photo id proof.

FMGE-2019 Exam Pattern

The examination consists of two parts namely: A and B.

Mode of exam: Online

Type of exam: Objective type

Maximum marks: 300

Negative Marking: No

Minimum qualifying marks for FMGE 2019: The candidates shall obtain 150 marks out of 300, then he/she will be treated as the qualified.

The pre and para-clinical subjects have a weightage of 100 marks i.e. part A. Part B has a weightage of 200 marks and consists of General Surgery and allied subjects.

Exam Centre

The admit card will tell the exact exam center to the student.

FMGE Result

The Result will be uploaded by the National Board of Examination after the exam is successfully conducted. The Result will be released on the official website in a pdf file format.
