UP PCS Result 2018 (Announced) – UP PCS Prelims Result
The Result of the UP PCS has been released by the Uttar Pradesh Public Services Commission (UPPSC) on last Saturday that is 30th March 2019. The result has been released on the official website www.uppsc.up.nic.in by the UPPSC.
The Exam was held on October 28, 2018. No doubt every aspirant must have been waiting for the result eagerly. Now we can say that your wait is over as the result for the Prelims Exam for UP PCS has been finally released. The roll numbers of the qualified students are mentioned on the official website.
UP PCS Result 2018
The Preliminary UP PCS exam consists of two papers. Both the papers are objective type. Each paper carried a total of 200 marks each. There were 150 objective type questions in the Paper1 and Paper 2 consisted of 100 questions.
The qualifiers in the Prelims will be called for the main exam. No final dates have been provided for the main exam as of now. We hope that the dates will be released soon.
PCS AFC-RFO preliminary results have been released recently on 30th March 2019. Now the qualified students will have to undergo the main examination. - The link redirects you to the pdf file which contains the roll numbers of the candidates who have qualified for the main examination.

Note: It is mandatory to score at least 33% in Paper 2 of the preliminary round and this condition applies to all category candidates.
Selection Process of UP PCS
There are three main steps in the selection process of the UP PCS examination. The candidates are required to undergo and qualify each round to be eligible to be finally selected in the examination.
Selection in Prelims of UP PCS
The first stage of the examination is the prelims exam. Minimum cut-off marks are required to qualify in the prelims stage. The prelims exam is divided into two parts. To qualify a student must have at least 33% marks in the second paper of the prelims. The second paper of prelims is of qualifying nature.
The required score in Mains
There a minimum re 6 parts/papers in the main examination. Every student is required to secure minimum qualifying marks. The candidates need to qualify the minimum cut off in the general Hindi paper as well as the other papers too.
All the students who clear the prelims and the main exams need to clear the interview to be finally selected. There are no qualifying marks for the interview as such. The interview is based upon the candidate’s merit.
UP PCS Result (Mains)
The students who qualify the prelims will be eligible to sit for the mains exam for UP PCS. The examination paper for the mains is a written type of descriptive paper. The duration provided to complete the paper is a total of 3 hours. The mains exam consists of optional papers as well with the compulsory papers. The students who qualify the mains exam are eligible to appear in the interview round.
UP PCS Result (Personality Test)
The students who qualify the prelims as well as the mains round qualify for the interview round of the selection process. The interview is a viva-voce type. The interview carries 100 marks. A candidate is asked about general interests and academic background. The interviewer can also ask about general knowledge and current affairs. The candidates are also required to take the personality test/interview. The interview is the final stage in the selection process.
UP PCS Merit List
The merit list for UP PCS will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in all the three parts of the selection process. Based on the merit the candidates are recruited as Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) and Range Forest Officer (RFO).
Pay Scale for the different posts is provided as follows:
- For Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF): Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/-, Grade Pay- Rs.5400/-
- For Range Forest Officer (RFO): Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/-, Grade Pay- Rs.4800/-
